Just as much a Sport as "Ice Dancing"?

Not saying I agree (or disagree) with adding Pole Dancing as an olympic sport (as this article says may happen), but what's the difference between Pole Dancing and Ice Dancing?? The criteria for the sport are the same, it's the judges scores based on a series of moves, with higher points being given to those more difficult moves. Just saying.
