See...Golf is Easy

So I'm pretty athletic, but one sport I have played for years that still frustrates the hell out of me is Golf. I always have a great time, but I'm just not as good as I would like to be...dunno why, it looks just seems so easy:

If Lassie Were a Cat...

I Hate cats...they are the most worthless animals ever. This is what would happen if Lassie were a cat:

I'm Ron Burgandy??

Bad place to have a run on sentence:

Working Hard Bro?

It helps if the mouse is plugged in:

Have an extra 60k-80k laying around?

Why not spend it on this? The Wall St. Broad St. Sign is up for auction at Christie's for 60k-80k.

I think it would be cool to own such a huge piece of Americana (especially since I'm a financial guy). This sign has seen a lot of money made and lost.

Buffett and Gates Doing Lunch

Hey Bill, I'm a little short can you spot me a few bucks?

Should the Kings Sign Him

There's a chance Demarcus Cousins could fall to the Kings in the draft. He's a pretty risk pick, but with risk comes reward. Is it worth taking him?

Ron Ron

I HATE the Lakers, but it was nice seeing Ron Artest win a ring. Here is his crazy/hilarious post game interview!! Love this guy.

Wait...Where is Waldo?

Robert Green: Best Goalkeeper for England?

Is this really England's best goal keeper? England is a soccer powerhouse, but can't find a better goalkeeper.

This is the goal he gave up to the US Team on saturday:

What sucks is this one is probably more embarrassing:

Who are You?

Representative Bob Etheridge (D) from North Carolina decides to assault a student. Nice job buddy. These are our publicly elected officials.

Those Damn Vuvuzelas

These things are all the talk of this year's world cup. There's been talk of banning them, but those plans fell through. Are these new? I feel like I've seen them before? Maybe they are just everywhere now, instead of a few fans using them.

Here are some great pictures of them:

I got a fever...and the only prescription is more vuvuzela!!

How Do You Keep the 2nd Best 2010 Free Agent From Leaving Your Team?

You name the county after him for the week free agency starts. Miami-Dade County has passed a resolution today that renames Miami-Dade County, to Miami-Wade County. Pretty useless way to spend tax dollars...unless it works.

In which case, welcome to the city of LeBron-cramento Mr. James.

C'mon Kevin Johnson, you know you want him too!

New Zealand Scores 1st World Cup Point Ever

New Zealand scored their first World Cup point ever today, and did so with a header in stoppage time to tie the game 1-1 against Slovakia. Basically robbing Solvakia of 2 additional points.

Here's the goal:

Paul Pierce Punches Ref

Our Defense Belongs on a Milk Carton

"'We’ve regressed since Game 1,' Bryant confessed to Yahoo! Sports. 'Our defense belongs on milk cartons in the last two games.'"

2 reasons to DVR Sports Games

1.) Skip commercials. I can cut a 3.5 hours basketball game down to less than 1.5 hours.

2.) Keep your girlfriend/wife from pulling stupid stunts like this. This happened during the Stanley Cup when the game was tied 3-3 and went into overtime...

The Thirsty Dog

Toby was thristy, and wanted to make sure I knew. The following is the unedited footage of the standoff...

Interactive World Cup Schedule

Confused by which teams plays when, where, and in what group? This should make things a little easier. Although, it's still in local time, so depending on where you are you have to calculate that. FYI: They are 6 hours ahead of the east coast and 9 hours ahead of the west coast (coincidentally, that is the time zone I'm used to calculating, to call my brother who lives in Germany, in the same time zone.)

So HERE is a great interactive schedule...

Ray-O's

Ouch, after shooting the lights out in game 2 and setting an NBA Finals 3pt record, Ray Allen decided to go 0-13 in game 3.

World Cup Time

It's that special time...the World Cup starts this week!! In honor of this great event, I think everyone should go watch Green Street Hooligans before friday...this movie is great. (Yeah, I know Elijah Wood is in it, but don't let that fool you. It's awesome)

I'll throw some predictions up here if I have time.

Nacho Libre

This is why you never try to reveal the identity of a Mexican Wrestler:

John Wooden

"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. " -John Wooden

The Legend passed away over the weekend, and what I love most is that he is being remembered as a great person, instead of a hall of fame basketball coach. He won 10 National Championships in a 12 year period, and he's being remembered for the type of person he was. That is remarkable.

Here is his Pyramid of Success:

Forgot to mention

I forgot to mention how great it was watching Ray Allen on sunday night. It's hard to find pure shooters in the NBA anymore, and Ray Allen is one of the last (and best). He channeled his inner Jesus Shuttlesworth and tied the NBA record for most 3 pointers (7) in a finals game. IN THE FIRST HALF!

He went 7 of 8 from 3 in the first half, then ended the game with 8 3's to set the new record. He was shooting the lights out, and it was great for a former shooter like myself to watch and appreciate!!

Unfortunately, with the evolution of the league, I think it'll be rare to see such great shooters going forward. The league is trending toward strong penetrating guards, that can knock down a jumper now and then.

Who Doesn't Love Mr. T?

Especially when it's Mr. T as a midget.

T to the Izzo

Tom Izzo, do not leave Michigan State for the NBA. You are one of the Top 10 college coaches ever, and loved by fans all over the US. Don't do it. The NBA is a different animal, you have to deal with bigger egos, the fact that they all make more money than you (thus think they don't need to listen), and knowing that it's not pure competition but business.

Remember that run you had to the Final Four this year? That wasn't about the money, it was about heart, effort, and defense. The NBA doesn't care about any of that.

In case that argument hasn't swayed you, I've created a list of recent great college coaches who went to the NBA, and their results.

A list of those who crashed as NBA coaches:
Rick Pitino
John Calipari
Tim Floyd
Mike Montgomery

A list of those who succeeded as NBA coaches:
N/A

Any questions?

Kiss Cam

Dustin Hoffman and Jason Bateman kissed last night for the Kiss-cam at the Lakers Celtics game. Dustin Hoffman is a nut.

On another note, did anyone else notice all the celebrities were wearing sunglasses at the game...I always thought that was a cliche, but clearly they are actually douchebags.

Lebron got Owned

For the first time in his life, Lebron got owned at something somewhat sports related. I sort of expected to see Bron-Bron start crying, but he was a good sport about losing to a busboy.

Maybe because he still makes about $50 million a year? which is about $49.985 million more per year than the bus boy.

This map of England is amazing...zoom-in...you'll see:

Inspiration

I've been inspired...I think I'm gonna build an AWESOME beer pong table.

I'm thinking one like this, but with the Kings court:

Sink Hole

This is an amazing picture of the sink hole in Guatemala...

The Lebron Song

Sacramento's pitch to have Lebron come play for the Kings...HILARIOUS!
